I was asked to photograph the evening by CNE and usually I am hesitant to take on the event type jobs, but this one was quite unique. Watching the chefs do what they do best, outside of their own kitchens was awesome. True talent under pressure.

This was my first real cookbook type gig, really enjoyed every second of it, from the concept to the build to the two long days of shooting, and even the long month of post processing. I feel like this is a great example of my style.
Its a great feeling when people trust you with their product, and enhance it with your style.

As a person I have always been drawn to the western US. Living on the East Coast doesn’t give me many opportunities to use that western sun and the colors it brings. I try to recreate it, sometimes I succeed, sometimes I fail.
